How Pixel Art Animation Works
Pixel art animation is key poses plus timing, not fluid frame counts. Most game animations live at 6–12 fps with 2–8 frames: draw the two extreme poses first, then add frames only where the motion needs them.
9 minHow to Make Pixel Art Tilesets
A tile is a texture that must survive being repeated. Design within a safe margin (no features touching edges unless they are meant to continue), keep the palette global, and build the 47-tile transition set only after the base tile repeats cleanly.
8 minPixel Art Color Palette Guide
Decide the palette before drawing. Most sprites need 3–6 colors per material, and shading should shift hue (not just darken) — shadows toward blue/purple, highlights toward yellow.
6 minWhat Is Pixel Art?
Pixel art is a digital art form where the artist controls every single pixel on a small grid. The small canvas is not a limitation — it is the style: clarity under constraints.
