Monochrome Ink Palette
A 5-step black-to-white value ramp with a warm paper tint — for high-contrast 1-bit-style games, icons and print-flavored aesthetics.
Where to use this palette
- Value does all the work: keep a 2-step minimum jump between adjacent fills or shapes merge.
- The warm tint (#f2efe9 paper, warm grays) avoids the harshness of pure #000/#fff.
- Great for UI-first games, roguelikes and pixel icons where color would be noise.
- Outlines: use ink black sparingly — the dark gray reads as outline against the paper white.
Use this palette
Copy the hex values above into the editor's Palette tab, or rebuild the ramp from one base color in the Palette Generator.
