Export Scale Reference
Nearest-neighbor export sizes: what a 16×16 or 32×32 canvas becomes at 1× through 8× — for PNGs that stay pixel-crisp.
16×16 canvas
| Scale | Export size | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| 1× | 16×16 | In-game, engine scales |
| 2× | 32×32 | Pixel-perfect display at 2× |
| 4× | 64×64 | Store thumbnails |
| 8× | 128×128 | Itch.io / Steam screenshots |
32×32 canvas
| Scale | Export size | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| 1× | 32×32 | In-game, engine scales |
| 2× | 64×64 | Pixel-perfect display at 2× |
| 4× | 128×128 | Store thumbnails |
| 8× | 256×256 | Marketing close-ups |
Always integer scales — 3× of 16×16 (48px) is fine; 2.5× is never fine.
The editor's PNG export is nearest-neighbor at 1–8×, so what you see is exactly what ships.
Next step
Export a PNG at any of these scales in the editor's export dialog.
